River Run Free

The public often imagines private investigation as a thrilling, glamorous profession. The reality, however, is often more mundane. While there are certainly moments of excitement, it's far from the Hollywood image. My own path began with a childhood imbued with relentless curiosity. I was drawn to the unseen, the overheard, and the hidden. Those childhood games of espionage weren't just play; they were a prelude to my future career.

For nearly three decades, I have worked as a private investigator and currently serve as the CEO of Ariel Investigations. My work is profoundly fulfilling, both mentally and spiritually, as I advocate for victims of abuse, including women, children, and animals. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of reuniting families with their loved ones and supporting survivors of rape, stalking, harassment, and domestic

I've been in a loving relationship for 35 years, and together, we are helping raise our grandson, and granddaughter, which brings immense joy to my life. The joy of bringing 'Oolygalees,' a children's book co-created with my granddaughter, into the world through self-publishing, and the completion of 'River Run Free,' has fueled my creative drive. Now, I'm channeling that energy into finishing my novel, 'Secrets & Lies,' and finding a publisher for 'River Run Free.' Though other stories wait in the wings, these are the projects commanding my attention.

River Run Free is a touching tale of love, loss, and unwavering courage.

Twelve-year-old Thelma has always known the quiet beauty of the Rocky Boy Indian Reservation in Montana. Thelma shared a deep bond with her grandfather and his beloved horse, River. When her grandfather passes away one summer, grief weighs heavily on her heart—not only from losing the man she adored but from the fear of another impending loss.

Among the tribe’s oldest traditions is a sacred custom: when a person of great importance dies, their horse is buried alongside them. Thelma believes this ritual must be honored, unaware that it has not been practiced for many years. With her heart set on saving River, she makes a bold decision—to set him free.

Determined to save River, Thelma embarks on a brave journey through treacherous mountains and raging rivers, facing a wolf, mountain lion, and the unknown—all in the name of love and freedom.

Join Thelma on an unforgettable adventure of resilience and hope, where a young girl’s devotion to her horse leads to a journey of self-discovery and strength.
